WYLAH MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS

Microneedling is a skin procedure that involves the use of fine sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries within the skin. These small channels trigger the skin’s natural healing response and may assist with changes in skin texture and quality.
Prior to treatment, a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the skin. A specialised device is then used to create a series of controlled micro-channels across the treatment area.

Microneedling may be considered in selected patients for concerns such as changes in skin texture, acne scarring, pigmentation irregularities and enlarged pores. Suitability for treatment is determined during consultation following assessment of medical history, medications and skin type.

In some cases microneedling may be combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which involves the injection or application of plasma derived from the patient’s own blood.

Suitability and consultation

All cosmetic procedures offered at Wylah Medical & Aesthetics require a consultation with Dr Fox to determine whether treatment is appropriate. During consultation, medical history, medications, skin type and treatment goals are reviewed before any procedure is recommended.

Not all patients will be suitable for every treatment. Alternative options, potential risks and expected recovery will be discussed prior to proceeding. Information provided on this website is general in nature and is intended for educational purposes only. Individual responses and outcomes vary between patients.

Wylah Medical & Aesthetics takes an individualised approach to patient care, with a focus on understanding skin health and the factors that may influence it. Treatment plans consider both medical and procedural options where appropriate. Wylah is a doctor-led clinic. All treatments are guided by clinical assessment, with consideration given to underlying factors as well as the visible features of the skin.

A range of non-surgical procedures and medical skin treatments are offered, with treatment plans tailored to the individual. The aim is to support skin health and address patient concerns in a measured and considered way. No two patients are the same, and all treatments require consultation to determine suitability.

Wy-lah is an aboriginal name for Yellow-tailed black cockatoo. For Dr Fox, this animal represents new beginnings, a good omen and a connection to her ancestors.
